Overview

The WAve SEnsing (WASE) research team is established in 2020 as the main hub for research and innovative ideas related to sensing using electromagnetic waves. In several applications, correct and accurate sensing is considered critical.

At the moment, our team is applying sensing in four areas:

1. Spectrum sensing (sniffing) for cognitive radio applications

2. Fast and low-powered RFID sensors using microwave and mm-wave systems

3. Subsurface sensing in geophysics

4. Physical-layer interference sensing

5. Smart and advanced RF and microwave sensors using metamaterials
